  • Right-click on the Command Prompt and then click on the “Run as Administrator” option. It will launch the Command Prompt as Administrator as shown in the image below.

  • After writing the command, press the Enter button. It will disable the Digital Driver Signature Verification. 

Method 2: Disable Digital Driver Signature Verification using Advanced Startup Options

If the above method does not work on your computer due to some reason like secure boot privacy protection, then you can use this method. In this method, you will have to restart your computer with Advanced Startup options. To do that, follow the steps written below:

On Windows 11

  • Open the Start menu and click on the System Settings options. If you don’t find it, just search Settings in the search bar. It will show you the System Settings. 
  • Then click on the “Windows Update” option.

  • After that, click on the “Recovery” option.

  • Then, you will see the “Advanced Startup” option with “Restart Now” button.

  • Click on the Restart button to restart the Windows under Advanced Startup.

On Windows 10

  • Open the Start menu and click on the Settings options.

  • Here, you will see the “Advanced Startup” option with “Restart Now button.

Windows 7 (64-bit) and Windows Vista (64-bit)

  • On Windows 7 and Vista, just restart the computer normally
  • Then press F8 key on the startup screen. It will open the open the Advanced Startup options.

Step 2: Install MT65xx USB VCOM Driver

(Here X is the Windows version and Y is the Bit version). For instance, I have Windows 10 64-Bit. So, I selected the “usb2ser_Windows_10_64_Bit.inf” file. Note: Windows 10 drivers will run perfectly fine on the Windows 11. So, select the same in case you have Windows 11.
  • After selecting the file, click on the OK button.

  • Then, it will a list of models. Select “MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port” or MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port” and click on the Next button. (You can install both these files, but one at a time).

  • After that, Windows Security Prompt will pop up. Just click on the “Install this driver software anyway” option.
